Asparagus Setaceus or better known as the Asparagus Fern or what I like to call... your very own Japanese forest! They have delicate foliage which arches gracefully with growth.

Light: An Asparagus Fern does best in bright but indirect light.

Water: They thrive in a humid environment and enjoy living in moist soil, but be careful to not overwater as waterlogged roots can rot easily. A bathroom or kitchen would be perfect for this plant!

Top Trick: Invest in some Epsom salts if you don't already have some lying around in your bathroom!

Drop half a teaspoon of Epsom salts into half a litre of water, then shake and stir. Either water it on plants or you can mist away the fern foliage directly.

Incorporating Epsom salt into your fern watering routine can provide a variety of benefits for your plant. Due to its magnesium and sulfate content, Epsom salt can aid in the growth of your ferns and improve their overall health. One being it will prevent leaves from turning yellow which is a common problem. Additionally, Epsom salt can assist in the production of chlorophyll, which is essential for photosynthesis and the plant’s energy production. Likewise, adding Epsom salt to your fern’s water can aid in the absorption of other nutrients present in the soil. This can result in better root development, which in turn leads to stronger and healthier plants. The added magnesium from Epsom salt can also encourage the production of new leaves, ensuring that your ferns remain lush and vibrant.

This may be called an Asparagus Fern, but it's definitely not the type you shallow fry with garlic and olive oil when you're feeling Mediterranean after your Summer holiday - this one is toxic! Please keep out of reach of pets and children!
